So we finally did it...we have our very own BLOG!! Mind you this is strictly for family and close friends to catch up on all the news from Jeremy and I. Since most of our friends live far away we wanted to have some way to keep in touch and share all of our joys with all of you.

So here we go...

Jeremy has graduated with his associates degree
and will be starting at NIU in the fall for Physical Education/Coaching. I finished up my first year of teaching 3rd grade - loved it - and next year I will be teaching 1st grade ELL (English Language Learners). No, I don't speak any other language so it will be a challenge, but one that I am looking forward to. We don't have any kids YET, even though my entire family is well on their way to having kids - Jeremy and I are not quite ready yet to bring those special spirits down to earth. (But man are we getting close) :) For now to keep us occupied we have two wonderful dogs - Sadie, who is our black lab and Brandie, who is our 1yr old golden. We love them very much.

Just recently we bought our very first home! It is an awesome thing to have your own home but also a very frightening experience knowing all of those extra bills and payments that come up. YIKES!! We feel very blessed to have our home and couldn't be more grateful for all of our blessings.

Right now we have some of our close friends out from good ole' UTAH! We have been anxiously waiting for their visit and so far, we have had a blast. Today we went to Chicago to see some of the sights and eat at one of the best restaurants in Chi-Town - Ed Debevics!

Tomorrow we are headed to my parents lake home in Michigan on Lake Paw Paw! Hopefully we will have nice weather so that we can fully enjoy just being on the lake. We'll be sure to show some more pictures of Chicago and Lake Paw Paw. :)
